Madd Gear Kruzer 200 / Metro Kruze Scooter Assembly Instructions
Congratulations on Your Purchase!
Thank you for choosing the Madd Gear Kruzer 200 scooter. Follow these simple steps to assemble your scooter quickly and safely. Let's get started!
Tools and Items You Will Need:
- Scissors (for removing zip ties)
- Two 5mm Allen keys (included)
- Owner's manual and registration card (included)
Step 1: Unpack the Box
- Carefully remove the scooter and all parts from the box.
- Inside, you’ll find:
- Two 200mm wheels
- Two handlebar pieces
- The scooter deck
- Allen keys, owner's manual, and registration card.
- Remove all protective wrapping and zip ties from the scooter parts.
Step 2: Attach the Front Wheel
- Locate the front axle on the scooter deck.
- Using the two Allen keys, loosen the front axle by turning them in opposite directions.
- Once loose, separate the axle into its two parts (male and female ends).
- Install the Front Wheel:
- Insert the female end of the axle through the wheel.
- Align the male end of the axle on the other side and thread it into the female end.
- Use both Allen keys to tighten the axle. Make sure it’s snug and that the wheel spins smoothly without any wobble.
Step 3: Attach the Rear Wheel
- Using the same process as the front wheel, loosen the rear axle.
- Place the scooter on its side for easier handling.
- Insert the female end of the axle through the rear wheel and the rear fork.
- Align the male end on the opposite side and thread it into the female end.
- Tighten both sides using the Allen keys, ensuring the wheel spins smoothly with no wobble.
Step 4: Assemble the Handlebars
- Connect the Handlebar Pieces:
- Locate the lower handlebar piece with the lever clamp and loosen the clamp.
- Slide the upper handlebar piece into the lower section, aligning the holes.
- Tighten the clamp lever to secure the handlebars in place.
- Secure the Handlebar Axle:
- Use the Allen keys to tighten the male and female bolts at the top of the handlebars.
- This step may require half turns due to the limited space.
- Ensure the handlebars are tight, with no wobble. Tighten until secure, but don’t worry about overtightening.
Step 5: Attach the Handlebars to the Scooter
- Open the locking mechanism at the base of the scooter by pushing forward on the clamp.
- Slide the handlebar assembly onto the fork of the scooter.
- Tip: If it’s snug, loosen the clamp at the bottom using the Allen keys.
- Once the handlebars are fully inserted, tighten the clamp evenly:
- Tighten the bottom bolt slightly, then switch to the top bolt.
- Alternate between the two bolts until both are fully tightened.
- Ensure the tension is distributed evenly to prevent loosening.
Step 6: Adjust the Handlebar Height
- Open the lever clamp on the handlebars to adjust the height.
- Push the pin at the back to slide the handlebars up or down to your preferred height.
- Once you find the right height, tighten the lever clamp by turning the dial clockwise until secure.
- Compress the lever to lock the handlebars into place.
Final Check:
- Double-check all screws and bolts to ensure everything is tight and secure.
- Make sure both wheels spin freely with no wobble.
- Test the handlebars to confirm they are firmly in place with no movement.
